Lincoln Nominee Award Lists!

Attention all high schoolers, whether you are actively reading through the Lincoln Award Nominee list for 2023-24, or just looking for some fun reading material, we have you covered.

The Lincoln Award is given to the book from that year's master list that earns the highest number of student votes. For a book to reach the master list, adult and young adult fiction and nonfiction titles must be nominated by teachers or librarians and vetted by the nominations committee. Come browse our display in the teen room, or view the booklist online and place a hold!

Meet Nicole, Teen Services Librarian

What I do at the Library?

I am in charge of ordering teen books, movies, and music, planning teen programs, and visiting teen classes.

What I like to do outside the library?

I live in La Grange with my boyfriend, where we enjoy activities like biking, reading, gaming, going to the movies, or just hanging out downtown with friends.

What books do I like?

Books that are character-driven, thought provoking, and fast paced (no twenty page descriptions of meals and/or clothing, please). This is why I mostly read Young Adult Literature.

What I want to ask you?

Please stop by and say hello, suggest a book, suggest a program, or just tell me a little about yourself.
