Be an active part of your community by serving on the La Grange Public Library Board of Trustees. We are seeking candidates to fill vacancies for Trustees not running for re-election. Candidate must be a resident of La Grange and registered voter. To file for candidacy, read the 2027 Candidates Guide, available on the Illinois State Board of Elections website, and submit the following documents to the La Grange Village Clerk between November 16-23.
- Nonpartisan Candidate Petitions (also available in Candidate guide)
- Nonpartisan Statement of Candidacy (also available in Candidate Guide)
- Statement of Economic Interests receipt (Secretary of State, Cook County Clerk’s Office or State Board of Elections)
- Loyalty Oath optional (also available in Candidate Guide)
Candidate Filing Dates & Deadlines
November 16-23, 2026: Petition filing period for nomination petitions of new candidates
December 2, 2026: Last day to file objections to nomination papers
December 3, 2026: Simultaneous Filing Lottery (if necessary)
April 6, 2027: Election Day
