Kendra Van Kempen Selected as 2025 Recipient of the Illinois Library Association Youth Services Achievement Award

Kendra Van Kempen has worked at the La Grange Public Library since 2018 where she has focused on leading programming and developing collections for children ages birth through 12 and their families. She is a founding board member of the A.B.L.E. Ensemble and is passionate about helping to ensure the Library is an accessible space for all.

Board Member Honored for 24 Years of Service

The La Grange Public Library is celebrating the work and dedication of Becky Spratford, who served nearly a quarter century on the Library Board. In the 24 years Spratford served on the La Grange Public Library Board of Trustees, she passionately advocated for the construction of the current Library building, participated in three library director searches and was involved in multiple strategic plan processes that that guided the Library’s goals and priorities.
