Tyler Duelm

In 2007, at three years old, Tyler lost his battle to brain cancer. However, his memory and spirit live on through the Tyler Duelm Memorial Fund and the Tyler Duelm Activity Room. The Duelm family and the La Grange Public Library actively raise funds to support these fun and unique programs for the children of La Grange.

Tyler Duelm Fund

For more than 10 years, the Tyler Duelm Fund has enabled enriching, engaging programs beyond our annual operating budget, and ensures a cozy, welcoming space within Children’s Services in which these special programs take place.

From engaging preschool musical concerts to hands-on art and science programs, hundreds of preschool, lower elementary and upper elementary school students have enjoyed Tyler's Time programs and storytimes, after-school programs, and summer reading programs in the Tyler Duelm Activity Room.

The room, unveiled when the new library opened its doors, remembers Tyler’s strength and features a specially designed mural that showcases the animals, books and toys he loved.

Help us continue these extraordinary programs

Tyler's Time programs are memorable, hands-on experiences that are over and above those typically funded by the library's operating budget. Your contribution to the Tyler Duelm Fund allows the library to bring in instructors and performers that enrich learning and cultural experiences that we otherwise would not be able to afford. Opportunities for giving are available at all levels and donors will be recognized on a special plaque at the entrance to the Tyler Duelm Activity Room.

To donate, please complete this donation form and make your check payable to the La Grange Public Library.

Return form and payment to the Patron Services desk or mail to 10 W. Cossitt, La Grange, IL 60525.
