Friends of the Library
Join the Friends of the Library today! Your Friends membership supports the Library in many ways.
The Friends provide funding for programming and services beyond the La Grange Public Library's budget, and help make the Library a more vibrant and vital part of the community.
Goals
- Promote the La Grange Public Library by informing the public about materials and resources available at the Library
- Encourage public interest and use of the Library
- Assist in purchasing library materials, equipment and programs
Funds are earned through membership dues, donations, fundraisers and the ongoing Friends of the Library used book sale in the Library lobby. The Friends will accept donations of up to three boxes at a time of gently used books to be sold at their ongoing sale.
Friends Make a Difference
The Friends of the Library funded the following projects in 2025 & 2026:
- Summer and winter reading challenge prize baskets for all ages
- Xbox gaming system and games for updated teen/tween room
- Large-scale printer for staff
- American Sign Language course series (Spring 2026)
- Spanish story time
- Board games for teens & tweens

Best Friend - $200 & up
Good Friend - $100 - $199
Family Friend - $40
Individual Friend - $20
Senior Friend - $10
