Library Closed for Christmas
The Library will be closed on Wednesday, December 24th and Thursday, December 25th for Christmas.

Need something while we're closed? Check out ebooks on Media-on-Demand, Axis360, or Freading, download music from Freegal, browse magazines through Zinio, or stream movies through Hoopla and IndieFlix. You can even use our online databases to do research.

If you want to register for a library program, visit our Calendar of Events to register online.

We will reopen at 9:00 am on Friday, December 26.

La Grange Centennial Quilt Fundraiser

You’re invited to "A Chocolate Covered Evening" on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 7:30pm.

In our 111th year, the Library is planning to stitch together some fun starting with a fundraiser to clean and hang the fabulous La Grange Centennial Quilt.

Join us for "A Chocolate Covered Evening" fundraiser. Enjoy artisan chocolate by Kokku with wine pairings from Vino e Birra, music from Ten Strings, silent auctions, quilt square "house auctions,” hors d'oeuvres, refreshments and more!

To purchase tickets, visit the Library or click "Buy Now" below to pay by credit card. Tickets purchased by credit card are "will call" tickets that will be available at the door.

Benefits of the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) System:
Speed:  Multiple books can be checked out at once.
Security:  New gates at our front doors will help us track materials.
Inventory Control: RFID will help us know when items are missing and need to be replaced.
Improved Self-Checkout: Our new self-check machines will suggest similar books and allow you to place holds and pay fines with a credit card.
Greater Interaction:  Automating check-in and checkout allows staff to spend more time with those patrons who need assistance.

IndieFlix for Libraries offers online streaming of award-winning independent films, shorts and documentaries from around the world. IndieFlix is available on Apple®, Android™, and all Internet-enabled devices. Patrons can also watch films on TV with their Roku devices.
