Architectural Request for Qualifications
The Board of Trustees of the La Grange Public Library is seeking an architectural firm to consider a remodel of our library lobby and circulation area.
The Library Board has heard from some members of the community that the lobby is cramped and dark. Some people find it difficult to get in and out quickly and to navigate their way to other departments. Others would like a faster way to pick up items on hold.
Therefore, the Board is looking to work with an architect to get some cost estimates on a minor remodel. The selection of an architectural firm will allow us to solicit community feedback this fall through a variety of means, in order to accurately determine what needs, if any, could be addressed by some minor changes.
No capital expenditures have been approved yet, and won’t be until the Board has gathered plenty of community input. Any expenditures approved would come from our capital funds, and would not increase property taxes.
As always, with this inquiry, the Library is searching for ways to ensure a facility that will be prepared for the future needs of our community.
If your firms is interested in being considered for this project, please provide your qualifications no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.
