The Friends of the Library
Goals
  • Promote the La Grange Public Library by informing the public about materials and resources available at the Library
  • Encourage public interest and use of the Library
  • Assist in purchasing library materials, equipment and programs
These funds are provided through membership dues, donations, fundraisers, and the Used Book Sale.

Friends Make a Difference
 
The Friends of the Library have recently funded the following projects and materials:
  • New video game collection for circulation
  • Youth Storytime materials such as flannel boards and puppets
  • Big Read programs
  • Christmas Walk entertainment
  • Annual Summer Reading Kick-Off event in June
  • New art display system
 
 
 
Meeting Dates
The Friends of the Library typically meet the first Tuesday of even-numbered months at 7:00 pm.  Friends members and interested members of the public are welcome to attend.  Meeting dates can occasionally vary, so call the Library first to confirm with Friends Liaison Nikki Zimmermann:  708.215.3277.
