Illinois’ Role in the Civil War

Local Civil War enthusiast John Matuszek will come dressed in full military garb with props to talk about camp life during the Civil War and how units from Illinois were instrumental in the Western campaigns of the Civil War including the capture of the Mississippi River; Sherman’s march to the sea; and the capture of Atlanta.

The popular book Loving Frank has ignited new interest nationwide in Frank Lloyd Wright. In this fascinating slide lecture, learn about Wright himself and his architecture in the Midwest and elsewhere.
This program will address the period covered by the novel as well as subsequent periods in Wright’s work. Parents: Sign up your kids for the Wright companion class the same night!
